SEERS PMGI Extends Relief Aid to Typhoon Tino Survivors

Cebu City, Philippines — SEERS Property Management Group, Inc. (SEERS PMGI) carried out a relief operation in Cebu for survivors of Typhoon Tino, distributing essential goods as part of the company’s continuing commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Typhoon Tino, the deadliest storm of 2025 so far, claimed the lives of 253 individuals across the Philippines. From 4 a.m. to 7 a.m., the storm unleashed intense rain and winds, causing rivers and creeks to overflow and sending 12-foot-high floodwaters into low-lying neighborhoods. Cebu alone recorded 48 deaths, with Compostela, Danao, Mandaue City, and Talisay City among the hardest-hit areas. Overall, 33,661 families — or 105,588 individuals — were forced to evacuate as a month-and-a-half’s worth of rain fell in just 24 hours, overwhelming waterways and triggering widespread floods.

Amid this unprecedented devastation, SEERS Property Management Group Inc. – Visayas, headed by Mr. Marcelino Barde Jr., immediately mobilized to support affected communities. On November 9, 2025, SEERS Visayas conducted a relief operation in Barangay Bacayan, Cebu City, one of the communities that suffered severe flooding, property destruction, and displacement due to Typhoon Tino.

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to public service, SEERS Visayas distributed essential relief goods to 88 severely affected families who had lost their homes and personal belongings. Each family received 3 kilos of rice, assorted bread, thrift clothing, and toys for children, providing much-needed comfort during the difficult aftermath of the storm.

The relief operation was carried out in close coordination with barangay officials, local volunteers, and community leaders, ensuring an organized and secure distribution process. Beneficiaries were verified through the barangay masterlist, and an efficient queueing system helped streamline assistance for all affected families.

SEERS Visayas emphasized that the success of the initiative was made possible through the collective effort and generosity of numerous supporters. Special acknowledgment was given to the Padilla family, particularly Enrique and Julia Padilla, whose commitment and partnership helped turn the relief mission into a meaningful and impactful outreach.

As Cebu continues to recover from one of the worst weather events in its recent history, SEERS Visayas reaffirms its dedication to standing by communities — especially in moments of greatest need. The property management group remains committed to ensuring that its service goes beyond business, extending into genuine care, compassion, and proactive support for Filipino families facing adversity.
